- Project data: Project details, step information, checklist submissions, comments, messages, and uploaded files

Payment and Billing Data
We collect payment-related metadata, including:
- App subscription and lifetime deal purchase metadata for freelancers
- Step payment metadata for client project payments
- Stripe account IDs, customer IDs, checkout session IDs, payment intent IDs, charge IDs, billing status, and dispute/refund status
Note: We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment card handling is performed entirely by Stripe, our payment processor.
Automatically Collected Information
When you use our service, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- IP address and device/browser metadata
- Log events and session data
- Security cookie data
- Usage analytics events (where consent is provided)
- Referral and page request metadata
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Resend: For transactional email delivery
- Sentry: For error monitoring and incident tracking
- PostHog: For product analytics (where consent is provided)
- Slack: For internal operational alerts where applicable
- Legal and professional advisors: Where legally required or necessary to protect rights
We share data on a need-to-know basis. Our service providers are not authorized to use your data for purposes unrelated to their role in providing services to us, except as allowed by their own terms and applicable law.

- Active accounts: Data is retained while your account remains active

- Compliance records: Payment, tax, fraud, dispute, security, and compliance records may be retained longer if required or justified by law
- Session data: Short-lived session artifacts, signed URLs, and access tokens have much shorter retention windows

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS) for all data transmission
- Secure cookies and session controls
- Private storage and access controls to protect deliverables
- Access scoped by role and project
- Payment state confirmed by verified Stripe events
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
